For those of you wondering what this is for:

My buddy ~ntim007 here on dA has stated something worth thinking about regarding the new update to my Metro UI Dock Icon Set "This will look a bit small on docks, so the new icons should be called StartScreen edition"...

This got me worried, he may be right. I have tested the new icons myself on a dock and they do look fine, you can tell what they are but still, I don't know if that would be for the good of the common user to make this huge change on just about every icon in the set currently.

You are downloading the provided .ZIP of my current progress on the changes for a very important reason: to help determine if these should replace the current icons for docks OR if they should be a completely separate Deviation geared towards the Windows 8 Start Screen!!! I need your thoughts on this, test out these images on your computer and leave a comment telling me what you think!!! And don't forget to read the Readme provided in the download!!

As always, great work here!
But, here's a little critic. I think the icons (the white shapes of the programs) should be a little bit smaller, like the size of the Microsoft offical ones.
Here's how my tiles (made with Oblytile) looks in comparison with the default tiles ones [link]
Other than that, again, awesome work

Aaah, I see what you mean.. but it is too late to go and do this to every single one of them; and I am aware of (in case you noticed, most likely) the fact that mine are centered while official ones are about 2/3 of the icon high. :iconainq: is working on that at the moment as I have little time to do so myself at the moment...

Thank you for your suggestion, I will try to take this into consideration, hopefully in the near future, BUT the goal was to make these look better on a desktop DOCK and the Win8 Start Screen, so I will think about possibly making a separate deviation ONE DAY exclusively for the Start Screen, but currently this will do...

Umm, off the top of my head I know of Trillian, the Office 2013 icons, and Adobe Creative Cloud. I'm sure I added more than that though. (not at home currently)

Yea, I know. I made it that way intentionally. I prefer the yellow color, it is what most people are used to and I think it looks better. :)

Glad to hear, I did not think I would have to make a new deviation for these but I still wanted some other viewpoints before the official update. :)

I'd use these if I actually utilised a dock.
Epic idea though. I'll be using your icons in my Start screen, regardless.
